Saisiat Festival
Today there was a festival going on called the Saisiat Festival. As far as I can gather, the Saisiat people are Taiwanese aboriginals. Biking around I saw a lot of people burning paper money, blowing off little fireworks, beating drums, and dancing. It all seemed very nice and wholesome until I found the strippers. This road was shut down and in the middle of it was this gigantic stage with strippers dancing on it. I am still so confused as to why this is part of the celebration of these aboriginals. There were also strippers on top of cars. And then I got mobbed by a bunch of Taiwanese people who all wanted their picture taken with me. Overall, it was a pretty cool/pretty weird day.
