Dinner Time

Tonight for dinner, I went to a place across the street from my apartment called 140 Cafe. I went there because someone told me they had an English menu. It was seriously one of the best meals I have ever had. It was SO good. I'm not even completely sure what I ate. Here is a picture of my meal:

The first little bowl has hot lettuce and carrot shavings in it. It is mixed with some delicious, garlic-y sauce and it was amazing. Anyone who knows me also knows that I do not like vegetables. At all. I have eaten more veggies in the past three days than I have in my entire life. I told myself to be open and try new things, and I actually like vegetables now.

The second bowl has what i think is ginger with sesame seeds. It was really good too. The third little bowl has mushrooms (good), red bell peppers (not good), and an unidentified green veggies (also not good). Then there is soup with tofu, which was super delicious.

I have also eaten tofu for the past three days, and I am really love that. This was called "Three Cups Tofu" and I have no idea why. But it was super good. And lastly, a bowl of white rice. My chopstick skills are slowly but surely improving. I bought a pair a chopsticks today so I can practice eating EVERYTHING with chopsticks. After my huge meal, they brought me an iced coffee in a really cool cup. And the whole meal cost me $NT160, which is $5.32 US. All that delicious food for five bucks. Every meal seems to be so huge with so many different sides. I am really enjoying the food here so far, and that is not something I was expecting.
